Sustainability is a word you’re going to be hearing more and more as everyone starts to get serious about climate change. Letting A1 Printer Repair Company of Miami repair the printer you already have is one way.
As copier repair experts, we were already fans of HP and its printers. But when we learned about some of the things they’re doing in the area of sustainability, our respect for HP grew even more.
HP Sustainability Efforts
Did you know that HP is partnering with the World Wildlife Fund to protect forest lands and promote the restoration and management of our forests? We didn’t either! We must have been busy repairing copy machines when the news came out. That was back in September when the announcement was made at the World Economic Forum’s Sustainable Development Impact Summit in New York.
When you stop to think about it, it makes a lot of sense for HP – a leading printer and copier company – to be involved in looking out for forests. There wouldn’t be much of a market for HP printers if there were no forests left because without trees, there would be no printer paper.
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is a widely respect leader in conservation around the world and HP is, of course, the world’s leading printer company. A collaboration between two such powerful and effective organizations has got to be good news for the world’s forests – and for all of us.
HP has apparently developed a vision for sustainable printing. Not only that, but they’re actually taking meaningful action towards implementing that vision. (How refreshing is that?!) In fact, HP has developed this whole Sustainable Forests Cooperative is designed to drive action now and inspire others to preserve and improve forest ecosystems for future generations. The company’s goal is that printing with HP will directly increase responsible FSC-certified and recycled fiber sourcing, while contributing to the restoration, protection and improved management of the world’s forests for future generations.
“HP has long envisioned a future bettered by technology and the power it has to create a more sustainable future,” explains Tuan Tran, president, global imaging and printing solutions. “That’s why we’ve teamed up with World Wildlife Fund, FSC, and others to create a forest positive future for printing by restoring and protecting the world’s forests for our industry, our customers and our communities.”
If that has inspired you to repair your HP wide-format printer or copier instead of replacing it, we hope you’ll consider calling A1 Printer Repairs at 1-888-242-4242! We are an experienced copier repair company serving customers in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach.
