What We Work On
We cover the HL and MFC ranges, the DCP series, and the enterprise Workhorse machines, from single desktop units to machines running as shared office workhorses.
The Faults We Are Called Out For Most
- Paper feed — the most common call by a wide margin, and usually rollers rather than anything serious.
- Drum and toner — Brother separates the drum unit from the toner cartridge, so faded or streaked output often means the drum, not the toner. Replacing toner first is the usual wasted spend.
- Fusers on the heavier MFCs — higher-volume machines run hot enough that the fuser becomes a wear item like on any laser device.
- Wireless and network drops — frequently a firmware or DHCP problem rather than a fault in the machine.
Parts
We stock and source consumables and wear parts for these machines — drums, fusers, rollers and maintenance kits — including for models the manufacturer has moved on from. See toner and parts.
When a Repair Stops Being Worth It
Past a certain age, parts and labour start to approach what the machine is worth. When that is where you are, a refurbished unit or a leased machine from RDS Team is the better spend, and we will say so.
