Refurbished and off-lease printers

Equipment that has come back from service contracts, been gone through properly, and is ready to work again.

When a lease ends, the machine comes back. A lot of that equipment has years of working life left in it, has been serviced under contract for its whole life, and is a great deal better than the entry-level machine the same money buys new.

Where the Machines Come From

Ours come off RDS Team's own service contracts, which means we know what they have been through — the meter readings, the service history, and what was replaced and when. That is not something you get buying a used printer from a listing.

What "Refurbished" Means Here

Who It Suits

Refurbished makes sense when you need a reliable workhorse rather than the newest model — a second machine for a busy department, a replacement for something that has died, a satellite office, or a nonprofit or school stretching a budget. It makes less sense if you need current security features or a manufacturer warranty, and we will tell you when that is the case.

If you would rather not own the machine at all, RDS Team leases and rents current equipment with service included. For a lot of offices that works out better than buying anything, new or used.

Ask What We Have

Stock changes as machines come back, so there is no fixed list. Tell us roughly what you print and how much, and we will tell you what we have that fits — or say honestly if we have nothing suitable right now.

Common Questions

Where do your refurbished printers come from?

They come off RDS Team's own service contracts, so we know the meter readings, the full service history, and what was replaced and when — not something you get buying a used printer from a listing.

What does "refurbished" actually mean here?

Wear parts inspected and replaced where near end of life, print quality checked against test pages rather than just powered on, and counters and service history known and disclosed.

When does buying refurbished make more sense than buying new?

It makes less sense if you need current security features or a manufacturer warranty, and we will tell you when that is the case.

What if you don't have a machine that fits what I need?
