A printer usually stops at the worst possible moment, and in most offices there is no second machine to fall back on. We repair office printers across Florida regardless of who sold them — a good share of the machines we are called out to came from a dealer who has since stopped answering the phone.

The Faults We See Most
Paper feed
The most common call by a wide margin. Pick rollers and separation pads wear out; they are consumable parts rather than faults, and they are cheap to put right.
Fusers and maintenance kits
On any laser device the fuser runs hot and is the usual end-of-life component. Smeared toner, jams at the exit, or a machine that simply refuses to print all point at it. Most manufacturers publish a maintenance-kit interval, and most machines we are called to have passed theirs.
Print quality
Streaking, banding and colour drift normally trace back to the imaging drum, the transfer belt or a laser scanner that needs cleaning. Repeating marks down a page almost always mean a component with a fixed circumference — a roller or a drum — and the spacing tells us which.
Network, scanning and drivers
These break more often than the hardware does, particularly after a mail server, firewall or network change. It is worth ruling out before anyone opens the machine, and we will say so rather than sell you a part.
One-Off Repair or a Plan
One machine that has broken once is a call-out, and we quote it after diagnosing the fault rather than before. Several devices is usually a service plan, which tends to cost less across a year than the call-outs it replaces. We will tell you plainly which one fits.
And there is a point where a repair stops being worth doing. On an older machine well past its maintenance interval, parts and labour can approach what the equipment is worth. At that point a refurbished replacement or a leased machine from RDS Team is the better spend. We would rather say that than sell you the same repair twice.
